Welcome Summer 2009.

Blue Morpho is ready for the summer months. We are excited for the groups. They are filling up which means we will get the opportunity to share our medicine with many new guests and many return guests as well. The bonds in the mesa are strong which translates into the energy in our ceremonies and the presentation of the medicine. The apprentices are continuing to advance allowing them to hold even more space inside and outside of ceremony. This adds tremendous presence to the overall expression of the mesa and more depth as each shaman expresses the unique nature of their medicine.

The Mesa:

Don Alberto Torres Davila: What can we say Maestro Alberto is Maestro Alberto. He continues to participate in all of our ceremonies. He heads our mesa with the stability and mastery of over 40 years of experience. I am awed each ceremony at the depth of medicine he brings. He is a rock of stability and guidance. Over 3000 ceremonies of experience and the number is only growing as he continues his practice with us and in his home town. He has lived Ayahuasca shamanism for his entire life since the age of 9 and his love and respect for the medicine remains the focus of his life as he is evolving as a Maestro de Maestros (a master of masters).

Mimi Buttacavoli: Mimi is facing the hard moments of apprenticeship with dedication and courage. She is beginning to really hold space in ceremony moving darkness and cleaning up the purged energies. Apprenticeship is one of the hardest paths there is and her commitment is intact and true.

Chris Odle: Chris is proving to be a very solid apprentice and benefit to the mesa. He demonstrates the principle of decision and never giving up. He has chosen his medicine path and it is as an Ayahuasca shaman. He has transcended doubt in terms of his apprenticeship and is learning the medicine quickly. Each workshop he demonstrates his progression.

John Patton: John is moving through the initial phases of apprenticeship and now faces a new stage. Here clarity and consistency becomes important. He is ready to move into a new paradigm of Ayahuasca shamanism. The old understandings are shed as new structures are built. He is progressing in his learning of Spanish, one of the requirements of apprenticeship. He is putting a great effort into his new path and is seeing the benefits.

Jeremy Bleech: Jeremy is currently in Florida raising his first child. He continues to manage reservations and online communication with our guests.

Recent Developments:

Recent Changes: As Blue Morpho evolves so does our expression and presentation of the medicine. As you all know integrity and honesty are the most important and foundational principles for me. As a continued expression of my integrity I am presenting the medicine in a real, intense and unabashed fashion. To fully extend into the universal we must shed the identity that we hold for others and for ourselves. It is only then that we will see that we are one and the same, human beings, living, and alive.

I am not shying away from the dark energies that cloud our understanding, and I am demanding integrity at the camp. I am openly calling out the spirits in us that make us lie to ourselves and others. We are all taking it up a notch. This is about taking the expression of our integrity to a new level. After 8 years of spiritual dedication, I can assure you that there is no destination in all of this. You are an expression of the evolution of wholeness and totality. Until we pierce into TRUTH we will always be living a dream, sometimes pretty, satisfying, and other times nightmarish. Blue Morpho is about hardcore shamanism. It is about everyone being exactly what they are, nonjudgmental, and the sacredness of the love we have for the medicine. That love and commitment is our only reason for existing. Know as long as we are functioning as an organization our integrity will be based in the principles of the medicine, standing in the face of all conflict and holding a space for others to know Truth, God, The Universal, Spirit, Spirits and Themselves.

September Tour Added for 2009: We are adding a tour in September 2009 from the 18th to the 26th. Our tours have been filling over the summer and we want to make sure everyone who wants to come has a chance to participate. I look forward to seeing all of you come for the September 26th workshop.

2010 Workshop Dates: The new 2010 dates are up on the site. We are looking forward to another great year of workshops and life transformation.

Blue Morpho Community: We are in the organizational phase of the new community and the next step will be training. I am very excited for this new step in our development as an organization. The growth of the medicine is amazing to see and the commitment of others to shamanism brings even greater meaning to what we are doing.

The Documentary: Keith Aronowitz's documentary will soon be available online. He has a website dedicated to the film. http://www.metamorphosisfilm.com. I hope you all enjoy the film. It will be a great way to share with friends and family the practice of Ayahuasca medicine. When it is released we will send out a message to everyone.

Icaro Cd's and other creative projects: We are still dedicated to the recording of Icaros and our other creative projects. We will be recording this weekend.

Blue Morpho Living: Blue Morpho Living will be a new web site dedicated to the presentation of the Blue Morpho spiritual philosophy. We will present the philosophy in short, easy to read, sections, and combine a daily activity that is designed to propel you further into experiencing, and understanding your universe. We will provide interviews, audio recordings, videos, instructional videos, books, and cleansing and meditation materials. Here you have the opportunity to blend your spiritual exploration and daily life. All guests will receive free memberships to Blue Morpho Living. This will be the support network and path, to maintain the connection to the medicine once returning from camp. The site is scheduled to be launched in 2010. We have already formed the development team and have begun to amass the tremendous amount of material that will be included in this site.

Peruvian Government Regulation: I had the recent opportunity to look at the new drafted legislation prior to its ratification. I am pleased to announce that the government has taken the initial steps to protecting the Practice of Traditional Medicine in Peru and its practitioners. In the next phase the actual regulations will be created. This will be the second most important step. It is here that we will know whether we will be able to continue to practice. At least for now we will be protected in one form or another.
