Dear Friends,
We’ve had an incredibly exciting start to 2010! We have just finished our third tour for the year—a very successful Sanango tour. Sanango is without doubt the pinnacle of healing medicine. We watched as its glacier-like effect crushed guests’ barriers and blockages over the 8-day diet, allowing clean spaces to open for them so they could then manifest new behaviors. The diet was followed by three Ayahuasca ceremonies. Blue Morpho’s Ayahuasca medicine is growing stronger. Universal shamanism within the mesa is evolving in such a way that the guests are achieving as much in two ceremonies as they used to achieve in five. This is excellent news, as guests now have more opportunities to experience the following nights in the space of the medicine clean of personal turmoil.
Blue Morpho is evolving within the medicine as well. Have a look at our latest news:
1. The new look of the Blue Morpho Web site
2. Blue Morpho’s new office
3. Chris’s ascension as a Maestro and his private 8-ceremony dietas (includes a crystal dieta)
4. 10% Discount in Blue Morpho prices due to increase of airline charges
5. New 6-day, 5-ceremony intensive workshops
6. New long-weekend workshops
7. New cook house
8. Guests’ questions section in monthly newsletters
The new look of the Blue Morpho Web site
We have launched the new look of the Blue Morpho Web site! It’s fast and easy to use. It contains lots of new pages filled with new information and includes sections in which, over the next few months, we will upload footage of talks and instructional videos, as well as text and audio versions of the talks. The easy-to-use social networking component is also up and running, allowing a Facebook-like space where you can openly discuss your thoughts and experiences with Ayahuasca with people who have had similar experiences. This network also hosts group post-tour communications, so login, join your group, and enjoy! From now on, this will also be the place to pick up your tour group photo.
Blue Morpho’s new office
As of 22nd March, the Blue Morpho office will be at its new address: #515 Avenida Guardia Civil, Pampachica. (The phone number remains the same.) The office is situated in a quiet Iquitos suburb called Pampachica. Many of you might remember seeing an army tank on the right side of the road as we headed toward camp; the new office is just one minute from that spot. The office has been designed to be a spacious, comfortable, modern oasis in a peaceful part of town. Its location will also shorten the bus trip to the camp by a good 10 to 15 minutes, eliminating the congested downtown traffic section of the trek. From now on, all tours will be based out of this address.
Basic directions: Head toward the airport on the main road (Avenue Quinones). Turn right at the traffic lights just after the tank. (This intersection has a petrol station with the sign Grifo Pampachica.) The Blue Morpho office is 700 yards on the left. (For detailed directions please see the page on the website marked ‘Where is Blue Morpho’.)
Chris’s ascension as a Maestro and his private 8-ceremony dietas
Chris has ascended to the rank of Maestro. Congratulations, Chris! During the Aya 40, the mesa and the medicine recognized him as a Maestro. His final step in the process of graduating to this rank was to host his own ceremonies and manage the space alone for other people. He did this at the beginning of February by holding his first private dieta. The medicine for those involved reflected Chris’s energy as a Maestro: strong, yet gentle and incredibly cleansing.
He has set up two more of these tours, only for return guests and only for dieters. (Please check the online calendar for tour dates.) These tours are 9 days long, and Ayahuasca is drunk each of the 8 nights. The ceremonies are a bit shorter than the standard Blue Morpho ceremony; however, as the medicine is drunk each night, the intensity grows dramatically. Chris has also incorporated crystal dieting in the morning as part of the medicine. See the Web site for more details about dieting crystals.
10% discount in Blue Morpho prices due to increase of airline charges
Blue Morpho recognizes that with the increase in the cost of flights the total cost of a tour has become difficult for many. For this reason, we’ve decided to offer a 10% discount on all of this year’s tours that are booked and deposited before the end of May 2010. (Unfortunately, due to the high costs associated with Sanango, we have to exclude the Sanango diets from this discount.) This discount is in addition to the return-guest discount. We hope this will help many who want to come to grow in the medicine but have financial difficulties.
New 6-day, 5-ceremony intensive workshops
We have introduced a new tour layout so that guests can fit the normal 5 ceremonies into a more convenient length of time. This new 6-day format means you can fly down to Iquitos, spend time in the medicine, fly home, and only be away from work and loved ones for a week. Having 5 ceremonies in a row also allows the space for return guests to delve further into the medicine in a more intense way.
New long-weekend workshops
Another new format we offer for tours are the long-weekend tours (4 days, 3 ceremonies). These opportunities are for guests who want to experience the medicine at Blue Morpho but may not have the time or money to spend on the longer tours. They either start on a Sunday and finish on Wednesday or start on a Thursday and finish on Sunday, so with weekend travel, your days off of work can be minimal. These tours are also a terrific way for new guests to experience Blue Morpho for as low as $1125 if booked and deposited for before the end of May. (For return guests, the price is $1125, or only $1012.50 with the May discount). These tours are also spaced so they can be done back to back, creating a 9-day 6-ceremony format where guests are welcome to stay in camp on the day off in between tours for free.
New cook house
Our new cook house has been a terrific addition to the Blue Morpho camp. It’s situated at the front of the camp near the main house, on hard, level ground. It’s larger, allowing much more space to spread out during the washing and pounding stages, as well as a cook fire that can handle up to 11 pots. Don Alberto enjoys the cook house so much that he now does his one-on-ones in this space.
Guests’ questions section in monthly newsletters
These newsletters will be sent out each month, usually a few days after a tour finishes, and we would like to have your input. For this reason, a section will be dedicated to answering questions about Traditional Shamanism, Universal Shamanism, Universal philosophy, or even questions about how the medicine is changing and shaping your life.
Naturally, we would also love to hear the good things about how your life has transformed, so please send us stories and testimonials as well.
