Shamanic Trips: These trips are designed to illuminate the reality of Amazonian Shamanism in a workshop and ceremonial setting. As we journey into the depths of the Amazon rain forest, we hold the intent of spiritual transformation and learning through our work during these magical days. All of the activities listed on the web page under the shamanism workshop will be available. This will be a time to not only benefit from the healing techniques utilized during the workshop, but to learn how to use them as well to be able to take them home and benefit from them well after the trip conclusion.

NOTE: Trips often fill up months in advance. If you would like to guarantee a spot on a particular trip, please contact us as soon as you are interested in booking.

Shamanic Trip Prices:

As of November 2005, all trips are to our new Shamanism Center, which is located outside of Iquitos, off the Iquitos Nauta road.

  • 9 Day (8 nights/5 ceremonies) Shamanic Trip - $1790 USD Per Person **


    • The deadline to book reservations is two weeks prior to each trip commencement.

    ** We require a deposit to reserve your dates ($900 per person, payable by credit card via Western Union Online, or bank transfer. Western Union may charge you up to 8-10% to make the transfer). You will need to pay your trip balance in Iquitos in US Dollars cash (preferred), or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). We do not accept traveler check. Also note that ATMs in Iquitos limit withdraws to $500 daily, so you may need to bring the cash with you to pay your trip balance.

    * For those interested in a shorter trip, guests may return to Iquitos early if their schedule does not permit them to stay the full 9 days. Private transportation will be provided for those that pre-schedule a return prior to the completion of the 9 days.


    Shamanic Diets: ***
    Shamanic diets are available on all of our trips with advanced notice and are an additional $150 dollars.

    Shamanic Diet Prices:

  • ***8 Day Shamanic Diet (9 days total/5 ceremonies) - $1940 Per Person

    Minimum Trip Length:
    5 days (Monday departure with Friday return). Due to the high demand of 9 day trips, limited space, and feedback from previous guests who came for shorter trips that wish they had scheduled for the 9 day trip, we now only offer the 9 day trips. People who cannot stay the entire 9 days, because their schedule will not permit it, can pre-schedule to leave early, on the date that they need to return. A taxi can be arranged to take you directly from the camp to the airport (about an hour and a half trip for about $20 dollars) to catch your outgoing flight. There is no discount offered for guests who need to schedule to leave early.


    All reservations should be reserved online at least 2 weeks in advance.

    Hotel Reservations:
    Blue Morpho Tours works directly with and can make your hotel reservations at the 5 star El Dorado Plaza Hotel (www.eldoradoplazahotel.com) or at the 3 star Hotel El Dorado.


    Airline Information:
    • The most common way to fly to Iquitos is through Lima. Many international carriers service the Lima International Airport.


    • From Lima to Iquitos only Peruvian carriers service the Iquitos International Airport.
